    So, a year on.

I have to say I miss this place. Manga-wise, now I only really follow one series, and get the scans directly of the scanlators site, as I did before, everything else I got from here.

Is it still too late to bring things back if there were some donations I could make? You said it would take 100/month to keep the site alive I believe, I could donate a portion of that, although current circumstances would keep me from donating the whole amount. Also were I you, I would look into accepting some cryptocurrencies if you brought things back. Perhaps some bitcoin, litecoin, dogecoin or whatever other coins you feel would be worth accepting.
I'm glad to see you've returned, been getting quieter on these forums lately as most have moved on. It's not too late to bring things back, but that $100-150/m figure, is not really going to cut it. I spent a lot of time collecting Manga each day and uploading. I'm no longer a teenager, I have real bills to pay and for the time I was investing in this site, I would really need a good $400/m to consider reopening. If this was just a simple blog site I would not have an issue opening, but I spent hours each day, morning and at night it was the first thing I did and I'm not interested in doing all of that again to lose money, especially as this site was losing money for years. At the peak of our growth I tried accepting prepaid debit cards, bitcoins, and other forms of currency and I think I got 1-2 prepaid credit cards, and perhaps a single bitcoin donation over the period of like 4-5 months, totaling about $60-80 or so, when that amount of money would not even be able to pay a single months server bill. What I learned was that although we had hundreds of thousands of unique visitors per month, very few found our site to be valuable enough to donate to.

I won't like though, I have been considering re-opening, but the only way I'd reopen is if all members who wanted to download had to pay. I learned something from ST, and it's better to have 10 users to pay and download, rather than having to support the infrastructure for hundreds of thousands can download and survive off the donation of a few. The real issue I felt was that people were ungrateful, I'd get so many emails about why downloads are slow, why we don't offer particular series and I had to constantly find ways to get cheaper servers, or reduce bandwidth to support all of the people who were not paying and then deal with hate mail of sorts because we did not offer the world for free. I'm not sure if it's really an option to start things up again, but if I did, you would have to pay to download.

Glad to see you are still around. I remember you, thanks for running the DC hub all those years ago.

Yeah, I miss this place as well but we all have to adapt to change. I think that although we had a ton of series, most people only sought a few of the larger ones (Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, etc). Thanks for coming back and giving a status update.

Well I haven't been here for years and I'm still sad to see StopTazmo has gone down. I would have donated bitcoins if they weren't so impossible to buy. When I first wanted to buy 10 they were $11 each but due to all the hoops were impossible to buy. So now I say screw them and won't. I did look at it a few months back, still a pain in the ass. So sheer coincidence that I spotted StopTazmo in my passwords file and dropped back a year after you've closed down. I was remembering all the good manga that I would never have heard of otherwise. All the best to you, I hope you found another paying venture.

Bitcoins are much simpler to get than they used to be. I'd like to thank you though regardless of just coming back to visit, posting and saying hi. That is plenty for me. I hope though you have found other sites to get Manga from.
