Ug! Things are continously changing and I was sleeping in silk sheets. The new site looks great, but I'm seeing that it can be closed, or I'm reading bad. Much problems have been happening all around the Net about manga world of downloads and fansubs. I'm following your group sice a lot of years by a friend advice and don't abandon you... I was ausent for a time, and I found a different Stoptazmo... But you are here supporting us with your work.
But I'm seeing you are alive and working about our likes in the manga thing, I apreciate it and thank you.
People like news about realises/fansub implied and the number of chapters worked. It's a point i.e. <determined fansub> finished chapter 107 from <determined manga/manhwa/manhua>. It's good put the total volumes or chapters about the work. A little information of new works, put annuncement of finished fansubed isues, etc.
All we, manga fans, are going through bad times. You girls and boys are the few hopes we have, as you could put manga in the Net we smile with satisfaction and greetings about you.

    Fight!!

I'm glad to see another member come back and post, especially as things are slowing down. I know the Manga community is still getting killed with DMCA's but the larger sites are still out there and I'm glad you found another site like us. I'd take your idea and some of the others about putting announcements of finished fansubs and other things but I've realized there is no profit or anything to really gain from the Manga community so I've gone on to find other niches but I'd like to thank you for returning and sharing your feedback.

Well, DMCA's like all repressive laws has many holes, first of all the copyrighted isues in USA are the primary objetives to stop by this... If you can claim and get local bureaus support and permissions about translating asian material for cultural purpouses, whith an amount of signatures from people: Town Halls can provide you with special permissions to upload non licensed material of asian comic - call it manga, manhwa or manhua -. You do it with the law by your side and - allways retiring the licensed isues in the time, but retaining the non licensed isues in your origin country -; and you score a goal to all those D.O.G.'S - excuse my irated words for them, it's their job, I know it, but it's no justice at all -.

Those permission can derogate special policies from the parenteral servers where you can build again a DB of files. This is an idea and advice to help. If you have the reconstruction idea on mind.

A japanese editor - I'm going to keep the name in secret - says: Fansubed works open manga market outside our frontiers. It's proved the market increases the solds. All the excuses laws like DMCA about this isue it's false, they gain money, but those - excuse me again - greedy bastards want more, and more... I have fisical manga because I know them by people like you, but in my origin country it's a 0'000000000001% of the good work, the rest is merchandaising trash manga. No Spice and Wolf, No Mayo Chiki i.e., only the more notable mangas, íSome from 90's decade! I can be proud to own the called "damned" manga Hanaukyo Maido Tai, you know the history about it sure: all the companies trying to edit the manga or produce the animated series go bankrupt O_O But it's only a slight attempt from a valiant editor, the rest is nothing.

Thank for the good job done, and hopping you can ressist.

I like quotes, this probably you know it well: "But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security."

    Greetings!!

There are ways around DMCA's and if I wanted to, I would just host things offshore and then not have to worry about DMCA's. I was just pointing out that Manga creators are now paying to get sites hosting their work shutdown, especially as more series become licensed. Really though, the only way I'd reopen is if I could be assured I'd get able to get enough money coming in to make it worth while, which due to the number of sites offering scans for free is not likely to occur though I'm considering it.

    So you ARE considering it!
Well, best thing is to to observe "the market" at the moment, who knows, maybe a good chance will pop up?

... How about a donation system? - not PayPal endeed, their policy about sites with copyrighted isues, if you don't have those permissions I talked about, denied the formula. But Bitcoin or another ways, can be a solution -. Think about it. And make the Comunity think about it, they are the more interested on the manga isue

Note: Look for good sponsors, not like you go to perceive "profit", but a donation of the sponsor - this may be clear -. This formula extinct the "profit seek" that DMCA claims; but you can get it, like a donation way. One banner or two don't make the site more "worthless", but more competitive. People think in advertising in a bad way, but it's a good form to obtain the target you are looking for. The other way is get the permissions, do e-manga and sell them, like a electronic comic library... With lowcost to the clients, but in this way you must pay taxes like a seller. The Comunity this way lost her own identity. But if you look for a deal formula, no more words about.

    Good Luck!

I spent so much time keeping this site going, it would be a shame to let it go but I fear the chance to turn things around might be too late. Even at our peak I could not get people to donate, so I'm not sure about forcing people to pay to download would even matter. I keep thinking about it, but it all comes down to money really and I'm not sure which way things would go for me. It would require a lot of time updating manga, recollecting updates and so forth and would take months before I really saw a decent payout.

It would have to be Bitcoin or some kind of Virtual Debit Card system. As for sponsors/ads, that is worthless I tried that. Anime/Manga sites make nothing.

As always everyone, thank you so much for your feedback, I wish I knew what to do, but I've got some other projects I'm working on so things might come down to how those turn out for me.
