StopTazmo Latest News
At the end of this month we will be removing all Manga from our site as I no longer have the time to run this site and have chosen to move on to other things.
We have been open since October 2004 and have consistently uploaded updates every 2 days for many years. For the last few years we have not been breaking even and have reached a point where I have decided to move on. I've invested a great deal of time, fetching updates every morning and evening and it has been hard to lose both time and money over the past few years and am very sorry to send each and every one of you this announcement.
At the end of this month we will no longer have any Manga on http://stoptazmo.com/as I am simply going to move StopTazmo to a shared hosting account and delete all of the Manga. I will be keeping the forums online at least through June and perhaps longer if there is still activity as I would love to keep the community going and shared hosting is relatively cheap but I can no longer keep this site running.
I would like to explain my decision a little further. Every single day I spend time gathering Manga and every month we lose money. At one time I was spending an hour a day, although due to the server termination recently this has dropped to about 15-30 minutes, about 15 hours at most per month. As many of you are aware everything has a cost / benefit ratio, and 15 hours * $8/m comes to about $120/m for time alone. Even the last few months very few people have donated, even a small gift card. I am no longer a teenager and must work on projects and websites that will further my career, to help pay the bills, my own home, my own car and I've simply decided that moving on is the best thing for me.
I hope though that many of you will continue to remain active and post on the forums. If there are any suggestions on what forums/categories/subcategories we should create to help attract visitors I would be open to the suggestion. Any comments/feedback would be appreciated.
UPDATE [May 23, 2013 9PM PST]: I just removed 200 series or so. I did this so that the site can load a little quicker since right now we are maxing out 10mbps, which are host capped us to since we were using so much bandwidth. I wish I did not have to, but no donations coming in so this is how it must be.

Hi there. Long time lurker, first time poster. It's been awhile and thank you for providing all the manga through my childhood. The one day I decided to come back to see how this site was doing and I'm very sad to see it closing down. Good luck with your future endeavors and again thank you for all your time and effort.
By the way, what ever happened to tazmo? Narutofan.com is viz now....
So it's finally come to this Though - as I've already said - it is totally understandable. Thank you for all your hard work till now!!
I'll stick around for as long as I can, hopefully you can keep the forum up
You are very much welcome. Thanks for visiting throughout your childhood .

Too bad it has to come to this but I have to spend my time working on things that can further my career. Seems like sites such as this are a time a dozen but I will see if I can't get a friend to take over the forums. My only regret is I might have to take the manga down today.

Cheers from Perú,
thanks kane! i am very sorry to see st go!
Sorry to see this go, but I completely understand the decision. And thanks, also, for not pulling the plug without warning. All best in your future endeavors.
Today is always the most enjoyable day. Just ask Yotsuba.
Although collecting chapters for a few series is not an issue, when you have over 3k+ like we used it, was just a nightmare. ~500 is much better but the real key here is time + donations. This month we have not received a single donation and I would rather spend my time coding something in Python that gets even a little money coming in. I know a lot of webmasters exiting the industry, and they are leaving for a reason, just getting too hard to pay the bills since most people do not have money and if they do, rather not buy a gift card and send the code to someone. I rather just move on to other projects. I hope though you do keep in touch.

I hope though that you will keep checking back and see what's going on.

Thank you for all these years. I am regretful that it has come down to this. To be truthful, I did not realize that you were in such dire strait regarding to finance. It's wonderful that your site was so open for download that anybody could download (without making an account!)
I did get premium membership for a few months. I would've continued on had I known that you were regularly not breaking even. I feel like had you made it so that people had to sign up for an account for download and let people know more about the financial need, more people would've downloaded. Heck, even impose some limit which premium member can bypass would have probably benefited you.
With that being said, I'm still very thankful. Would there be a possibility of you dumping the mangas somewhere, maybe on a torrent? Or give the files to somebody else who would be willing to run the site? It's quite unfortunate if everything is simply going to be deleted.
A most excellent site and site administrator. Thank you for all the years of under-appreciated dedication to all of us leachers out here. As you said, if we had the money, we'd try to pitch in more. It is very sad to see this site fade into the bits and bytes of of the ether, but it is completely understandable and you really do have to do what's right for you. Even though we'll be crushed and totally lost, that's fine. No! Don't worry about us, we'll be okay.... wondering aimlessly around the cold dark internet, looking for another place to call home. It'll never be as bright and warm there, as it is here, but we'll survive somehow. *Sniffle* So go, do what you must. It is your life after all.
That enough guilt for ya? Just pulling your leg... a bit... Here's truely wishing you much luck and happiness in your new endeavours. Thanks once again for all of your hard work on our behalf!
