It's great to see you didn't abandon this place!
Truth be told though, I think this place is almost beyond salvation at the moment, a lot of the active userbase has already abandoned this place. Some of the manga forums are still active though, just not on the level they used to be.
If it helps to get a new vB license, I'll gladly donate. Anything to stop these spambots, and also as a sign of appreciation for not letting these forums die.
EDIT: Damn, the donate button is hidden along with the manga list, and the Members Control Panel link at the bottom isn't working. :(
EDIT 2: Just remembered that logging out lets me see the manga list & donate button. :)
i love you <3
i think you should consult steal, blackflash and 98 on who would make good and active mods
You might be right about being beyond salvation. I've downloaded over the past week 40GB of manga updates. We don't have enough space but I will see about switching things on the server around to make it happen, which might boost traffic.
Turns out you are right about the members CP link at the bottom. On our update over a year ago that option to hide the list was removed. I will see about a major update to our download manager.
The spammers only got out of control due to no one being able to remove their posts.
It will probably take me a week or so to get more manga added since so many changes need to be made on the servers since the primary drive is out of space, etc ... but in a week from now it might be possible to revive ST. If not I guess that is how it is.
about the mass emails....
have you ever try spamming through Facebook?
oooh... the cancer have been lifted. all we need is a good doctor after all.... and chemo
well i'm prolly the youngest member posting here. all i wanna say is thank you.
I did not realize an entire Facebook group was created for us. Never used Facebook so I never thought of sending my Spam through them.

I'm personally hoping the site itself never dies, and I would certainly be ok if Manga/Anime had to be sacrificed to do so if it is a must.
Welcome back, Kane!
It's great to have an update on what's going on - I think a lot of us are happy to hear that the forums will probably remain even if the manga downloads don't. We've had a lot of great moments here and no matter how dead things may seem, I think some people are willing to crank out a few more. =P You can't get the same discussions on another site, after all.
As for myself, I haven't been as involved with the community as others have since the DGM subforum kinda died, but I'm still around, if silent. Cleaning up and stopping the spambots will be a big help. It's really hard to chat in sections where spambots are running free, and that might help boost the community a little.
hi kane, nice to see you around.
I hope everything goes better with this site, I really like it and it'd be a real pity that it dies off. Anyways thanks for the hard work.
PD: If I can help with anything (simple) just say it. xD
