Sorry, I don't know how they do it exactly. I don't think anyone in the higher ups position of any of the big sites that have been taken down has actually told anyone how exactly it happened.

I wish an admin would talk from one of those sites. If anyone knows anyone high up you should ask and let everyone know what they said. I would like to assume that OneManga did receive some kind of letter or contact and that is what forced them to shutdown. Maybe someone knows more though.

The coalition stated that it has currently identified thirty sites targeted for action.
Does anybody know the names of this site?
note: Knowledge is power.

It is stated that the online readers will be the first targets. Either Mangafox or Animefreak (AnimeA, Mangareader) will be next. Also, Narutofan was mentioned at the top of the list. I don't know if he has an online viewer though. I didn't make a step on his turf for years.

In consideration of the fact that most online viewers are closing now one week later, I guess that they have received a second letter with a threat of legal actions. I think this second letter may come from a law firm containing information about what might follow and how much money site admins may have to pay in case they get crunched before court.
It may be a good sign that Kane didn't receive any letters yet but maybe it was due that he wasn't available or traceable for a long time. StopTazmo is one of their targets but they may leave it for later as it's considered "too small" right now. They will take down the big fishes first. It would help to make the "Manga List" at top invisible asap to make them think we did follow their request by ourselves for now. A Gamesmanship from attracting any more attention than required...

No one knows. At least no one has made it public anyways.

I think that should take some heat off us. I along with a few friends sent a few site owners PM's/emails so hopefully they respond to us sometime tomorrow.
I believe you are correct and these site owners received some kind of contact and they decided to shutdown. We did not receive anything so we might not be on the hit list, hopefully I can find out more tomorrow.

Sorry for not being active in the forum guys.. I've been a lurker for years, but I think the right time has come now to step up and protect this community..

I will decide on whether or not to hide the manga list by tomorrow. Waiting to see if anyone we have contacted responds to us or not.

Ok we will wait for updates... This community has become sturdy in the long run.. It has survived through the years. A real survivor.

well if at the end of the day you decide to keep going I think this link and this other one might be an interesting read :P (and you can easily google for the respective ways to block and remove the website from the other search engines)
