    Default Server/Donation Status [July 2009]

As many of you already know we have been having server issues and we are currently out of space on our server. The end result was us asking for donations to help cover the cost of additional hardware expenses.

We currently do an easy 100mbps all day long. This is over 32,000gb’s of bandwidth every month.

Right now our server expenses run close to $700/m. The ads that we have on our site only pay for about ~$100 on a GOOD month. We have tried almost every sponsor out there, and we are left with little options. Paypal seems to be our best bet at accepting money and allowing us to continue to grow.

We really need to get people donating. We spend a large amount of time collecting updates and it would be really great for people to donate whatever they can, even if it’s only $1.

I run this site as a hobby and as a student I cannot afford even a $1 loss each month.

I am going to post what we need for this month below.

    July 2009
    Total Server Expenses: $690
2x Servers + Site Hosting + Server Management
    Total Ads Revenue: ~$100
    ----------------------------------
    Need to Collect: $590

    Total Donations This Month: $595

FUNDS NEEDED: $0 MORE FOR July
I will update the total amount of funds we need as they come in. If you don’t want to see us launch a premium service, make sure to encourage others to donate.

HOW DO YOU DONATE? CLICK ON THE PAYPAL BUTTON AT THE TOP OF THIS SITE!

All premium payments are counted as donations and are added to our total. Let me assure you nothing is getting flushed. We just moved servers and it took me almost a full week of doing nothing but moving and I do not even have enough money to buy anymore 1TB drives for our new servers.

I know your post is kind of old and I think I updated the total donations last night. I'm kind of slow but I had to spend most of my time moving data otherwise I would have been spending a huge amount of time redownloading and sorting manga.

^_^; no worries then... as I said before I love the site, and plan to donate more. The math just didn't add up tho, and these days I already feel like my money's vanishing :P good luck with the new server, I'll chip in more $ as soon as i can
