Need Member Feedback: What new forums should we add?

I’ve been trying to think of what new forums / subforums we should have added to this site but I have not been having much luck.


Do any of you have any suggestions that might help our community grow?

If we get enough requests I will see that it is added. Let me know your thoughts.

That can cause a lot of people to get angry at each other, I think we all would rather not have to deal people acting pissy at each other everywhere.

As for section ideas, maybe a section for photoshop creations, sigs and such. I found the creative works section to be a less than desirable place to post anything made there.

Also in regard in to changing sections make sure you aren't going to change it into an ending series like Mx0.

Oh, no, totally no. There already is a useless General A/M subforum, if you add one more.... Besides, if anime has a good manga, it is being discussed in manga thread anyways. And there really is not that much anime threads to make a special subforum for them.

That's pretty much what creative works is for, isn't it? Why is it undesirable?

I agree with Reinard; there's no need for an anime subforum. If people can't find the right one to post in, which is not too difficult (individual series vs. general? And note that General even has "anime" in its title?), then I'd say they need to take a good look before posting anything.

I think, the Download Request subforum is in serious danger. Since marts sticky and the Hentai sticky are reformed, it looks quite blank to me.

The Download Request sub was always a high visited forum for newbies, we should either make new stickies for:
- Where you can find manga that is not in the ST list
- Where you can find the scanlator groups
- And prolly where you can find hentai (I know some people are prude, but that is also an issue)

These stickies should either be made by community builders and mods, or free to participate for all members (much more chaotic then...)

The DL Request isn't a help much in it's current stage, and digi can't answer all request coming in.

Another way would be changing the site to have a much greater manga library that can be updated by members. In it's current state the library is growing too slow to keep up. Then, the library should be moved to a subforum of it's own.

This site isn't only about CC and the manga subforums, it's major issue is the manga library and the Download Request thread. If both won't get serious revision, ST will lose new and old members.

I deleted most of the stickies. Many were being misused (with requests), and others could not be updated due to editing rules/original poster being absent. The rules sticky was made into an announcement. With the exception of Martyr's links list thread (which I deleted upon his request), almost all other stickies can be retrieved with requests.

Requests are not an issue. There aren't that many, and most are now answered by members. I'm capable of answering all threads, although I tend to answer just the simple questions that a quick search of Manga/Baka-Updates will provide the answer to.

Actually I disagree since anime has always seem to have had quite a lot of traffic. If the Misc. Section as well as General Anime/Manga section were to merge(moving the anime thread to the new on) I think it would be a lot less cluttered. There's also topics that tend to get a bit lost because at times they ends up on the next page or two and some people don't notice/search until others necro. Maybe it's just me but I find it a bit odd when there's a game/sports/movie section of its own on a manga site but not an anime? o_O

I'm definitely for an anime section.
