Just skimming through it, looks like there are no sequels next season... All new stuff I have no idea about

Any recommendations?

Eh? Moyashimon Returns is a sequel, as is Dog Days and Yuru Yuri.

I am, to put it mildly, very interested in Chouyaku Hyakunin Isshu, but I strongly suspect it won't be interesting to anyone who isn't at least passingly familiar with classical Japanese poetry (these are the poems that the card game in Chihayafuru is based on). That it's adapted from a josei manga only ups the odds I'll like it. Other than that, those where I know anything about the source material, I shrug at. Sword Art Online has a chance of being decent, I suppose.

ETA: BTW, the software that claims that this is my 2000th post is clearly defective. I am a complete lurker who never posts, or not more than once every few months.

Watched Chouyaku Hyakunin Isshu. I have no clue about classical Japanese poetry, but I still enjoyed the show.

Moyashimon and yuru yuri are a must for me, I'll also check out sword arts online. The rest I'm not to eager for, but I might try out a few. I now habitually download as many series as I can each season and archive them, so I'm not too worried if I don't see stuff as it airs.

@Stuyvesant #3: Eh? The first episode doesn't air till next month. Was there a leak of the first episode?

It was leaked? Uh, I didn't realise that. I was at a friend's house and we were chatting about Chihayafuru. Damn that sounds lame. Um. Anyways, he mentioned that he had the first eps of some other series that would also have a poetry focus. Watched it. I didn't know that it was leaked. That might explain why he didn't have any other episodes. He told me he'd give them to me when he downloaded them - we trade anime every once in a while.
