^ VLC is exactly what I use. It's the newest edition available for mac. :(. It's not a biggie tho, since I prefer avi's or mp4s. I can study the animation frame by frame. Also I can import it into Adobe Flash my animation program of choice ^_^. I've downloaded and tried using mkv to avi/flv/mp4/etc converters but none of them really work well. Usually the beginning plays ok then it freezes. Sometimes It'll convert without a problem tho..

I tried mplayerOSX. It's different than mplayerX. Stupid that they're named similar. Anyways it plays on my computer but it doesn't do any better than VLC player. But anyways like I said it's no biggie.

Yeah 10 bit is a bit of a pain, the bright side are the smaller file sizes. My old Dual core would be running at 100% when playing 1080p 10bit videos, 20-30% when running 720p 10bit videos except for F-Zero with the high bit rate action scenes lol.

I had to upgrade... mostly because my old CPU died, I have no idea why, I did all the test... nothing worked, I blame myself for running the machine 25-7 for 4 years plus straight lol (Don't ask me why it runs 24 hrs a day lol)

Got a nice new Hex core AMD phenom 2, 10-bit video run smooth asss, even the 1080p ones, runs about 20% of CPU. I used to run the 8 bit video with my GPU, I Hope there's some new software that allows my GPU to run 10-bit videos through my GPU, well it's doesn't really matter now with my new flashy CPU. (in retrospect after a lot of reading about CPU problems, I should've replaced the thermal paste but it was too late and I already paid for my new Computer).

As for codecs, I recommend the new CCCP that supports 10 bit. I've had a lot of bad experiences with VLC, i only use it as a last resort.

Mine's rarely ever been off for the last...at least 5 years or so lol. Though I can't say any of the parts inside it are that old.

Guilty Crown - Still watching it. The overall feel of the show is serious, but they have really odd ways of adding fanservice sometimes.

Chihayafu - Still entertaining. I just wish I was so amazed I started reading the manga and looked at the raws... Show is still good though.

Mawa Penguindrum - After so many episodes, it's finally starting to make sense.

Working!! - Has been kinda up and down but lately I feel like it's been more on the entertaining side(a tad bit creepy too, referring to the cell phone recording lol).
