Ah, yeah it will be. Since graphics hardware doesn't support hi10p yet, all the work gets shifted to the processor

I'm having trouble with it too on a mac. It plays but the colors shift sometimes and it just looks wonky. If there's an avi version of the show I just watch that instead of the mkv.

Yeah same here...I'm always going for .avi cause they always run smoother for me on top of being the more ideal size I'd like to keep my files per episode.

Yeah it kinda gave me that vibe too but it's actually appealing to the eyes for me since I'm not a huge CLAMP fan. I'm loving the show right now.

I know, right? Really gave me the Usagi Drop anime feeling while watching this though in a different way.

Just tried it, and it requires me to upgrade from Mac OS 10.5.8 to 10.6 before I can use it, which I haven't gotten around to doing yet. I'll give it a shot as soon as I get a TB hardrive to back up my stuff before I upgrade.

I'm actually reading the Usagi Drop manga right now. It's basically Aishiteruze Baby with a 30-year-old man instead of a high school kid. UD is a lot less about comedy and drama and more about character growth and maturity/responsiblity and whatnot. I wonder what'll happen after the time skip...

Beowulf: Is playing 10-bit h264 really that hard? It doesn't look like it eats much of my cpu when I play em, not even 1080p vids. (Running on a shitty duo core)
(I've always used ZoomPlayer just because I like the gui lol)

Basically...

Any other .mkv or 1080p file = completely fine, unless the bitrate is stupidly high.

Well, it's not like all fansubbers would only use 10-bit though. Or are they now?

Sounds like you're using old 8-bit h264 codecs to play 10-bit. That at least sounds exactly like what happened when I tried to do what I just said.

The only thing for mac support of 10-bit I can think of is VLC.
