@98 nope can't say I have. Probably won't unless after the 12 or 24 episodes you say it was pretty good 8/10. Otherwise no go maestro...
Anyways I kinda agree with some of what Yazen said. You both got a good side, but to be honest I kept trying to like Yazen's original post about the penguin show till I realized this is a forum. Anyways I too hope it's not incest, because I actually liked the episode otherwise.
I really don't see anything wrong with saying as a straight guy you don't want to watch a show about to possibly gay boys. It's like saying as a straight guy you don't want to watch twilight, a show about sparkly vamp and breathy teenage girl love. That's the thing about opinions. Everyone has a right to one no matter how ridiculous or bigoted it is.
Anyhoo Usagi Drop was alright. I've tried a couple of times to read it in the past but have never made it far. I'm not really feeling this summer. I'm still watching shows that continued from last season which IMO are better than the shows this season. Still too early to tell tho.
Glad to see we're still semi active. It warms my heart
I don't mind if he doesn't want to watch a show with potentially gay dudes which I said before, or a show with incest(though it isn't even confirmed). It's everything else that sounded absurd to me. His opinion of the show was acceptable for his reasoning of not liking it. However, the other crude remarks that weren't relative to it or well thought out just seemed silly and over the top.
I hate certain genres too, but I don't go saying all who work in that industry or the people there are "fill in the blank" just cause someone made it. I dunno, maybe it's just me but it honestly sounded really dumb.
Put simply, I didn't think the comments outside of the episode itself made any sense, and thought the other stuff was overboard. Anyone feel free to prove me wrong.
Well, it's really the only reason why I decided to watch it. I don't know what else to say in that regards. I wanted to see what the fuss was all about after reading a few comments here. After doing so I thought the one scene which caused some complaints was quite minor, and wasn't enough to really justify the other things that were said that weren't related to the show.

Watched Kamisama Dolls but it seemed kind of run of the mill. I was bored in the beginning but it got ok half way and towards the end. Seems like it'll be rather predictable. I'll see more later once it's finished since it doesn't feel like a must watch.
Idol Master - I watched it because I was curious to see if the animation would be good considering the ones who animated it along with other series seem to always do it rather well. It has good animation, and honestly I didn't care about the content, but the whole time I was watching it I was sorta mad because I kept thinking to myself "I really wish they'd have this sort of quality of animation in other shows". Not so much the visual style, but more expressive and fluid animation. Lots of shows cut a lot of corners and end up having a lot of stiff and unnatural animation. Though it's probably due to budget or time constraints, but still. Anyway the show itself is pretty much just moe crap that you'd expect. Nothing of value for me.
I watch Ikoku Meiro no Croisée. I think of it as a Reverse Gosick - since the Japanese is now a girl instead of a boy. So far so good. I'm just a bit surprised since the girl now know how to speak french when in the first episode she can't and have trouble to.
Will continue watching the series.
On this issue about the bill, my sis though maybe the animator was trying to diss the law. Notice that all the Summer Season animes mostly contain young girls?
The first episode of Usagi Drop did not exactly overwhelm me, but it was charming enough -- and the producers were willing to create different ways of dramatizing the emotional arc that the manga showed by other means, which shows promise. I'm definitely sticking with it for now.
Today is always the most enjoyable day. Just ask Yotsuba.
Kami-sama no Memo-chō - Story about NEET detective. Interesting and recommended for those who like detective+mystery.
Mayo Chiki - Cross dressing butler twist, a man who get nosebleed from touching girls, plus an "S" Ojou-sama. Pack with comedy all time around.
I'm liking Yuru Yuri, it's slapstick with yuri overtones.
Usagi Drop was adorable, the first episode was a bit slow to get off the ground (but set out the characters quite well), but the second episode was great. I'm definitely sticking with this one.
iDOLM@STER was okay, maybe it was just a slow first episode, but the characters really seemed like canned clichés. The premise of the episode being from the view of the manager was interesting at first (since it was obviously in reference to the game's POV), but it got annoying quickly. Overall a good way to introduce the characters, but not enough to hook casual views. This is clearly meant for the fans.
And now the one that's causing all the fuss. I actually really like Mawaru Penguindrum, the voice acting and animation are great and although the story is a bit WTF, it is fresh and interesting. The transformation scenes are fantastic. The kiss at the end of ep one did seem out of place, but it didn't really throw me like you guy suggested; maybe it's because I was expecting it.
I guess im the only pervert thats watching manyuu hikenchou. lol
This is the list of summer animes that my sis and I will watch:
Kami-sama no Memo Chou
Ikoku Meira no Croise
Natsume Yuujin Chou San
Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi
Dantalion no Shoka
Does that make me a pervert too?

Yeah, the first episode was really boring imo. I was about to drop it but decided to give it another shot. So I watched the second episode and I actually ended up enjoying it. It was cute, but not overbearingly cute.
