Trigun Badlands Rumble
Anybody have the pleasure of seeing this yet? I got a 720p version and it's very funny.
Also it's not directly involved with the anime if anyone wants to know. Wolfwood is around in here. It's not really a spoiler since the anime is different from the manga.
Also the animation/quality is excellent.
I downloaded the Japanese rip, not knowing it had no English subs. Then I went looking for a subbed version.
Here are the results:
2 audio streams
1 subtitle tracks
Commie subs version:
1 audio stream
1 subtitle track
I'm on mobile broadband and I only have a 15GB (both upload and download) limit. I have great respect for subbers, but sloppy encoding and enormous file sizes are actually kinda rude.
If anyone can upload a subtitle track for me I'd be grateful.
I can. i have a sub track. Any specific route you wanna go about receiving it?
Thanks. Mediafire or megaupload is good. How large is it?
Ooh, me too please. If you're pm'ing rather than posting link, please send to me too. If not, well, uh, I guess I'll just click on the link when it gets here.
It's honestly less than 1MB. I will have link up today.
Edit: This took A LOT of work to get right and I checked it multiple times on my Trigun version. Let me know if it works for you as well. Here it is at about 500kb
Trigun Badlands Rumble subs by [Commie]
Second Edit: You technically should be able to use these subs with any version of Badlands Rumble. I don't believe the timecode has anything to do with this situation.
Thanks dude, you've done me a massive favour, you actually saved me money there (technically).
Damn, that was good, I love how it captured the comical feel of the earlier Trigun episodes. My only gripe would be that we don't get to see much of Vash being cool at the end.
You say it isn't directly related to the series, but I could have sworn I saw cameos and references to the series. The other possibility is that it is related to the manga series.
Oh no there were most likely tie ins (can't recall any atm) but it doesn't have a main connection to the anime.
I say this for two reasons. Wolfwood is alive here.
Second would be the insurance ladies seem like they haven't developed their relationship with Vash yet. In the anime they were pretty decent with him by the time Wolfwood showed up.
It could just be somewhere out in the middle of the anime timeline though.
Edit- I'm gonna fucking rewatch the series. You heard me!
Cool, thanks dude. I'm also not on uncapped here, so every meg counts.
Lol yeah, before I moved to a better contract I used to have a traffic monitor app open beside my browser (not full screen) and I used to watch it religiously (great way to spot spyware though, just stop browsing and look for any traffic).
Ironically, after watching with the Japanese rip I noticed some artefacts at the start and the audio seemed distant (ho shit, dem anti piracy ads on DVDs were true [watching a BluRay rip - lol]), although that could have been 5.1 trying to play through a stereo output (even though I have 5.1 headphones). Quality was good enough though.
@Yazen: I'm sure the bounties on that scrap of newspaper at the end were from the series, but I could be wrong.
