Didn't get around to Rainbow yet. After a hard week felt like something cheerful. Watched Nodame Contabile - the first season. Quite enjoyed it. I was amused at the deep dark traumatic pasts that the characters had. The sort of things that take a good few minutes of self reflection to sort out. Hehe.

Just started Monster. Never read it, although I have read 20th century boys and loved it. I'm gonna try to slowly get through it.

I liked beck and nana but just couldn't get into nodame contabile. I do recognize it's a good series, just not for me

^ I dunno if I'd call Nodame good. It was happy fluff.
Monster is good, but I tend to prefer watching entire series in one go. I had trouble with Monster because it's quite a heavy show and leaves you with a fair bit to think about.
    20th Century Boys was cool...

Hmm. Monster anime didn't change/deviate anything from the manga so it all boils down to preferring to watch it in color or read it in black & white. Personally, I like reading it more because I have complete control over the reading phase rather than fastforwarding or backtracking the anime. The soundtrack though, gives me the creeps and is perfect for the anime.

Right now, I'm hooked in watching all four seasons of Merlin (if this is the first time you've heard of this arthurian adaptation, it's a BBC series that premiered back in 2008 but that I only recently discovered) If you want a light, enjoyable story with a not too complicated plot, this is for you. If you're a die-hard arthurian legend fanatic though, you might reel from the liberal changes they did to the story. All in all, if you're bored from the usual shows, give (The Adventures of) Merlin a try.
But once you conquer the world, then comes the hard part.
What kind of world would you create?

Haha. I started Merlin the other day as well. I can't think of much good to say about the show, but I keep watching it. I've got through two seasons and I'll start the third soon enough. It grows on you.

    Started watching Honey and Clover.

I never understood what was so good about the show. Anyone care to enlighten me on that show?

Also Nodame is freakin awesome, at least the first season is.

I watched School Days. Disliked most every character there. Boring show with over the top ending. Going to the bin.
Watched Ergo Proxy. Not too bad, but not very exciting either. About mid range anime, I guess.

Started watching Cross Game. I'm about 35 episodes in. Enjoying it. I'm a sucker for sports anime though. This one doesn't focus on the baseball to the exclusion of everything else like Major did though.

Cross Game rocks. Housemate and I are marathoning it as soon as we can find a time both aren't on deadline -- this would be third time through for me.
Today is always the most enjoyable day. Just ask Yotsuba.

Done watching Master Magi Negima OVA Final and it's not supposed to be my type of anime. I'll blame it to my sis who hooked me to it when she said the manga end!
