Frankfurt. My last assignment was to the Seychelles, so I shouldn't complain, I guess. Uh, where in Germany are you?
Anyways, finished the first season of Clannad, moving onto the second now.
Okay, so I finished the second season of Clannad. Um, way to change direction. What happened to my happy high school show. Um. Damn.
I'll get through the additional episodes now, then move on to Irresponsible Captain Taylor.
Gosick after finishing Shion no ou. Didn't like Shion.
So... watched that Captain Tylor show. I suppose it wasn't bad, but after Clannad, it felt a bit thin.
Watched High School of the Dead, Sekirei, Darker than Black and Midori no Hibi over the past 10 days.
eww to HSoTD. eww to Sekirei. thumbs up to Darker than Black. Meh to Midori
After Gosick I saw Koi Kaze. Biggest mistake everrrrrr. That's some incest shit. Then saw Rainbow. I had seen some of it before but never finished it. It had some memorable parts. the narrator started to get annoying tho after a while. Now I'm rewatching Umineko No Naku Koro Ni. I never actually finished watching it the first time. I got to like episode 18 or 19 and just stopped. Watching from the start.
Sekirei reminded me of Mai Hime, but with less storyline and more boobs. HSoTD was a bit aimless, but not terrible. Midori no Hibi played out exactly the way I expected it to. Zero surprises. DtB was pretty good though. I'll get around to the second season sometime soon.
I haven't seen Koi Kaze. I read the manga though. Didn't inspire me to watch the anime. I mean, I like my sister, but not that much...
Is Rainbow actually worth the effort? It was my next stop on my current anime streak.
What I didn't like about HSoTD was the amount of fanservice. It was such a letdown after the initial first episode.
ehhh well it's nice cause it's semi-historical. It takes place after WW2 and there are some noteworthy moments. Ya I'd say it's worth it
Full Metal Alchemist the Sacred Star of Milos was sooo good. I recommend watching it in HD if you can. Low quality will not do it justice.
Also, Millennium Dragon was good
Origin: Spirits of the Past was good too
They're all movies.

Yeah, the fanservice did get in the way of what could've been a much better series. I am surprised that they ended it after 1 season. It looked like they were setting up for more.

So... I just watched the second season of Darker than Black. Not quite was I was looking for after the first one. I suppose with enough analysis of the ending, and some knowledge of Japanese myths, most questions are answered, but it feels like they put special effort into trying to make the ending obscure. Actually the series would've been fine if it wasn't DtB. Hei and Yin could've been swapped out for different characters and there would've been no major impact. Odd way to make a sequel.
