They've got a age specific target audience and they have genre categories that aren't as specific but still defined. It's usually a much broader generalization, like for example ages 12-15, genre is comedy, sports, teen romance, and as well as what time they'll be airing the show because there's usually different age audiences who watch TV at certain times.

My point is there's still categories because as you said TV shows are more expensive, and they also require a lot more work. These things get pitched before they can get a chance to go on TV just like any other medium has to be green light before production. They can't just say I want to make a show about a dog who lives on the moon with an elephant and say they don't have a target audience for the show.

    Asking:

    Ookiku Furikabatte (First Season)

I've read the manga and watch the 2nd season but I missed watching the first season. Anyone can tell me if it's the same as the manga?

    Giant Killing

I know there's a manga on this, though I haven't gotten to read it, but I wonder how it compare with other football-based animes.

    Asking:

    Natsu no Arashi

I've only read the first few chapters of the manga and I think it was good but I'm not sure if the anime would be the same.

The anime is hilariously funny. You shouldn't skip chapter/episodes or else you won't get the story at all. My sis and I don't actually want to see this anime in the first place because of the OST and the first episode, but after watching the next episode, and the next, we are pretty much hooked and we even watch the second second. I must say, if you don't mind the character design and concentrate on the humor and storyline, go and watch this anime.

The anime is great, the first episode seems a little out of place, but the rest is great. Its mainly a slapstick comedy, but also contains elements of drama, pop culture satire and jokes based around time paradoxes. The running gag about gone off food is brilliant. Mostly you will like it for the characters as they all interact very well. Definitely worth downloading.

Sorry kaze, I haven't seen either of those.

Watched Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, damn that is a briliant anime, and really emotional, I felt anger, sadness, joy, laughter, anxiety. By the end I was very nearly in tears (although the last episode was corrupted for me, so that snapped me out of it).
This is well worth the watch, even if you wouldn't normally consider it, just don't get put off straight away by how bratty the girl is.

    Asking:

    Hetalia Axis Power (season 2)

Watch the first season, but never get the chance (nor the will) to watch season 2. Is Italia still talking Pasta! Pasta!?

Hetalia 2, I can't remember how far I got or what season it was, but I watched many tens of episodes. What I do remember is that it's all pretty much the same, italia is innocently stupid 100% of the time, most of the jokes are vaguely based on European history, there seems to be quite a bit of gay innuendo and after a while you get fed up of watching the same old characters, make the same old gags over and over again.

Sorry for the double post but I want to ask a question.

Apparently /a/ really likes Legend of Galactic Heroes I know its a sci-fi epic and there is some sort of war and a kidnap, but at over 100 episodes I wanted a second opinion. Has anyone here seen it, is it any good?

Huh, is that so? Then I supposed I should just limited myself at the first season.
