    Try History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi.
It's not new (well, it's a lot newer than the original Ippo), but it does focus on a few different martial arts.
I suppose Tengou Tenge. I think the series was completely crap, but if you're only looking into it for the graphics, then it should have some stuff.

Hajime no Ippo doesn't seem realistic neither. How can a boxer stretch his arm that long?
If you're looking for a fighting anime or manga that doesn't involve any sort of magic you could try Kenshin.

Kenichi, but only the first saga.
My god, after that, they start fighting at invisible speeds.

Asura No Toki...its a kenjitsu (armed) x kenpo (unarmed) fighting anime focus on three generations of Mutsu Clan. The timeline is probably during the ancient Japanese Era (time when Miyamoto Musashi is actively fighting to the first Meiji Era, I think).
