I watched the second ep of HSOTD. More T&A, but were the "boing" SFX really necessary? It just sounded really stupid and destroys the show's credability. And yeah I'm none too impressed by the VAs aswell. Stiil, I'll keep watching because I like the manga so much.

Since this thread has stalled, please excuse the double post. I've also just realised that I posted about this season in last season's thread.

HOTD is just as crass as usual, although it can be forgiven, because it was the bathroom episode (was I the only one who was actually put off by the saggy bin liner sized boobs?).

Occult acadmemy is still good and I think it will get better (haven't seen the latest ep though), but I really don't like the waitress girl. I'd bet money that the glasses girl is the key.

Asobi ni iku yo! I'm actually genuinely suprised by this one, it won't win any awards and it doesn't do anything you wouldn't expect from an ecchi show about alien cat girls, but it's fun and a bit cute and one I'll keep watching.

You should watch Queen's Blade. They have boobs the size of Watermelon -- yes, not just melon.

I still think it's the VA's in HSoTD that's the main problem. It's hard to sell the drama when it sounds so awkward.

Still watching Occult too.

Yojouhan_Shinwa_Taikei The_Tatami Galaxy is pretty interesting. I like the style, but the humor gets kinda old sometimes. I'm not particular fond of the constant fast talking but the constant retelling is interesting and I like the main guy and girl.

Waiting for the new Eden movie subs.

Their voices didn't match how I imagined them to be but sometimes it does happen.

Though I can't seem to see how everything will fit together at the end. Everything feels random at times. Hopefully it would make more sense at the end. >_<

Yes, but if I had wanted to watch that kind of show I would have watched QB not HOTD.

I wouldn't say I was dissapointed with HOTD (at least not because of the VAs) but it certainly isn't as good as it could have been.

The onslaught of unneeded fanservice is the turn off for me.

Still watching occult as well. There haven't been any amazing much watch series, IMO, in a long long time

You've pretty much nailed it on the head.

Did anyone else get really bored by the latest K-On episode? It got to the point where I was begging Yui to shut up.

The latest episode of Occult was good, I like seeing Maya's girly side.

I think Occult is starting to really shape up a lot more now that they've shown the flashbacks of the war thing and a little bit more explanation on why Maya is currently the way she is.

It's definitely not the only factor, but it's one that is constantly bothering me while watching the show.

Honestly, I don't know why people thought it'd be any different in the fanservice department. Animation costs money, it's an easy draw in, and this whole series was loaded up with it. It seemed like the likely route. I just ignore that and see how they they decide to portray the manga's storytelling rather than care about that stuff. That's just the way I see it for this show.

Try Katangatari and Yojouhan_Shinwa_Taikei The_Tatami Galaxy out, you might like them. I think you'll probably like the first one a lot more.

I've been pretty bored of the series, but for some reason (maybe I'm just a masochist in the inside) I've continued this show. It's even lost it's "okay" moments for me but I'm not sure why I continue watching it.

I'm cautiously optimistic about the coming Occult episodes. I don't want to be blue-balled like I was with Eden of the East but I think since this series is likely longer, it'll turn out better. I sorta both hate and like the main guy. He can be annoying but sorta funny sometimes.
