I'd say they're on different levels, in SW its mostly the cute/moe/lolicon kind, in HotD it's very much the perverse sexual kind, in far greater volume and far more obvious (rewatch the bit where Rei is fighting off the teacher zombie, the camera completely shuns the struggle and just stares at her arse. Actually it does that for most of the episode, the camera is going to go nuts when the show reaches the bath scene).
I've just finished reading all the current manga chapters, the anime contains far more fanservice than the manga and I think its credability suffers slightly for it.

^I was too busy looking at the zombies to notice. I'm a big zombie fan so sue me. Well the next part of the story should focus on multiple characters trying to escape so the amount of fan service should lessen a bit.

Ookami: I liked the first episode and the quirky narrator. I didn't like the 2nd one, I like the narrator but it had too much of it. It's just emphasizing too much on what we can already see. I hope they bring it back to the way it was on the first episode where she just usually adds amusing comments on the side.

Legend of the Legendary Hero: I think thats its name. I read the manga and thought it was interesting so I gave it a go. I didn't like how they animated it. The story was moving too quickly and the focus of the story keeps switching back and forth unnecessarily. Dropped.

Amagami SS: I thought this would be similar to other Harem animes but the part at the end kinda left me wanting to check out the next episode.
For the guy to actually ask the girl that he like on the first episode (Finally not a wishy washy Harem protagonist) was already good. Him getting rejected was better! Finally a chance to see him do something to make her like him back without just being the "Nice guy" ^^
Occult Gakuin: I was happy with the first episode. Anyway 98 wrote a lot of stuff about it already so I won't write anything about it anymore. I'm following this series till the end.

Mistudomoe: Not much story but it sure is funny. Too much green jokes though

Nurarihyon no Mago: Quite Entertaining. Supernatural + Action + High school life. The story hasn't move much yet so I can't really tell how its going.

I saw the first ep of High School of the Dead, and thought it was OK but too much fanservice.
Zombies!

Black Rock Shooter will be my next quest, I think.

It's cute, funny and fun but well within all the usuall boundries. The story was obviously taken from the big book of moe plotlines and I fully expect this show to go through all the usual motions before being unceremoniously chucked on the pile of obscurity.
I recomend you watch it, as it's lighthearted, fun and enjoyable in its own right as a stand alone episode, but you should definately take a view on continuing it after the second episode is released.
Animation is pretty but won't win any awards.
After watching the first episode, I can guess this is one of those harem anime with high probability of "hanging ending" or separation. It's definitely something I'm not going to continue seeing.

Of course, if you want something of the harem/comedy/ecchi jokes streamline, try watching Seitokai Yakuindono. I believe this anime was suppose to come out in Spring 2010 or Winter 2009 (I can't remember the exact season) but it was finally out now. This story is about a boy who was elected as a Student Council Committee member in a school that just turn co-ed from an all-girl high school. I recommend people to see this.

As for Black Lagoon OVA, I don't think it would be just one episode movie, judging from the Roberta's Arc in the manga, unless they cut some scene and change the storyline a bit.

Nubile top heavy girls under duress in tough enviroments? (have your read the manga?) Expect copious amounts of bouncing, jiggling, squishing and pantsu.

First episode of Strike Witches was released. As a reintroduction it was shit! Too much angst for a supposedly lighthearted series and the premise on which the show get a sequal (the Neuroi have become peaceful, so an even bigger Neuroi shows up and we're back to square one) was pathetic. I'm hoping this is not par for the course (infact, not even playing golf, lol).

I read the manga a long time ago so I can't remember it completely but judging from your descriptions. I think you might be right. Hopefully it doesn't get as bad as Rosario Vampire.

Regarding Strike witches. I haven't seen the first season yet. Do I have to see it first for the second season to make sense or is the whole "restart the war" makes it possible for me to understand the whole story and start watching it from the second season.

Too many animes, so little time. =\

I imagine it's going to be something like KimiKiss since they are from the same creator (?) and the other similarity is the guy like the girl who are older than him - well, I heard somewhere they storyline are following the "girl" route.

I recommend you to watch the first season so you'll get the idea of who's who, and where's where. I didn't watch the first season but when my sis watch ep 1 of season 2, I found myself a bit lost. At least, I knew the main character of the story.

Ok, but having little loli's who's primary attire for their bottom halves being just panties/bloomers/swimsuits aren't the perverse sexual kind? The camera also focuses on the little girl's panties when they're in action too. The only difference between the way I see it presented in HoTD and SW is that HoTD has it being shown longer and further apart while SW has them in quick bursts but constantly.

I'm calling shenanigans here. Saying top heavy girls under duress in tough environments is worse than nearly all the girls only wearing panties, swimsuits, bloomers in tough environments isn't really right.

Though let me make this clear, it doesn't really bother me in terms of HoTD since I pretty much expected it. I don't really care about it in SW either since that show isn't my cup of tea. Just saying that the comparison isn't so much different except for the fact that some are more top and bottom heavy while the others are small and petite for the most part.

Anyway, just saw the second episode of HoTD yesterday. I know the teacher is ditsy, but I think they went a little overboard and they aren't selling the drama between the characters too well when it comes to the animation and voice acting. I'm also really having trouble with the VA's in the show since both the guy's voices don't seem right. The main guy's VA does not sound anything like a teenager and the fat guy with glasses sounds really awkward. The girls for the most part are fine, but I think they aren't performing too sell in some scenes.

Either than that, I'm going to continue watching it. They've been sticking to the manga so far from what I remember. It'll be interesting to see how it ends since the series doesn't seem anywhere near it's end and barely got out of its hiatus status a few months ago.

Yeah, you need to have watched the first season.

We'll have to agree to disagree. I assume you haven't watched SW, but I'm confident that you'd understand my angle if you do.
