Default AnimeReactor Anime of the Year Awards 2009

    http://forum.anime-reactor.net/viewt...p?f=23&t=23263

Looks like the people voted for Bakemonogatari for best anime overall award, no suprise there personally, since I likde that show a lot and I couldn't thikn of any other show that I watched this year that trumped Bakemonogatari.

Skip Beat won Best Comedy, I need to see that... have been busy...

    What are your thoughts?

Meh, not like bakemonogatari had much competition; standards have dropped in recent seasons.

Most of the awards have been taken by these animes (Higashi no Eden, Tora dora and Eve no jikan)

I haven't seen Eve no Jikan yet but this made me want to see it ^^

@knite: I recommend that you read the manga instead of watching the anime of Skip beat. I prefer the manga over the anime.

    @ Vin

Too late I've already seen the anime, it's pretty good, it made me interested in the manga. Kyouko reminded me of Koizumi from Lovely Complex, with her ability to curse people with her Aura/Spirit. I like girls that can do that, it's awesome.

I skimmed through the manga (went through as quickly as possible) there wasn't any real change until chapter 40 or was it 46... well somewhere in the 40s, the only difference I saw were when Kyouko gave Ren the Middle Finger and Ren's thoughts about not getting involved with his past which happens to be related to Kyouko.

I'll continue the manga after studying for a couple of test starting this and next week for me :S... lol

Oh, great! Another Skip Beat fan! Don't worry, the real fun is just starting. Mio's the first of Kyouko's most memorable characters (besides the chicken and the angel), and it just gets better after that. I think the anime ends halfway through the Dark Moon arc, but it doesn't yet cover some of the more delicious scenes yet. And then after all those comes the
Kuon
arc, the Christmas arc, the Natsu arc, the Valentine's arc and now the Setsuka arc... all of them lovely and all showing new developments in Kyouko's relationships and growth as an actress. Skip Beat is by far my favourite shoujo series. You've got a treat to look forward to after exams!

I got up to chapter 79... the manga is too good but I miss the anime... I can almost hear Kyouko's voice.

    BEWARE Skip Beat SPOILERS

The Dark Moon arc was pretty good... Although Ren has admitted to loving Kyouko, he'll never actively pursue it because of his past, and poor Kyouko is clueless...

and the chapter where she temporarily returns the magic stone to Ren(Corn)... I was like... OMFG did she finally remember and regconise Ren(corn)... but it wasn't... so much potential for misunderstanding.

ah well I better go back to my studies and not get distracted by Skip beat... it's the devil.... :P lol

Thanks for posting this up man.

I haven't been into the anime/manga thing in quite a while. And I'm looking to get back into it but finding good anime (famous/popular does not necessarily translate to quality).

With this are there any exceptions or anything that kinda became an outlier?

    Thanks again
    hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....................
