The video game vibe is hilarious... reminds me of some of Clannad's best moments. 100-Hit Kill FTW!

Definitely going to be following this. 13 episodes should be about right. Keep it short and sweet.

Glad I wasn't the only one who compared it to Haruhi is a striking resemblance. ANd it was actually pretty good for the first episode. As soon as episode 13 is done, I might actually marathon it. And if it indeed is like Haruhi(light novels as wel, folks) then I can look forward to season two.... in about 3 years.

Watched the first episode of Mayoi Neko Overrun. A cookie cutter anime if I ever saw one. I won't be watching the second episode.

Yup, I agree. I could barely stand to finish it... just not appealing at all. Same with K-ON season 2, actually... maybe I'm getting too sick of moe shows. I kept on wanting to stop watching, especially during the school song part.

On the other hand, Arakawa Under the Bridge was interesting and funny as expected, though a bit crazy. And Hakouki earned itself enough interest to watch for the next two or three episodes to see whether it develops into something worthwhile.

Angel Beats episode 2 was generally okay, but I felt Yuri's tragic past was a bit overdone. Seriously, that girl should have mental problems if she went through all that at such a young age. Just a tad unbelievable. As well as the age of the workers and general build-up of the Guild. (Seriously, when did they have time to make that much equipment?) But hey, if it's not taken too seriously, then I guess it's fine. And the deaths are hilarious.

I'm actually trying to locate subs of Senkou no Night Raid and Giant Killing, as the reviews for those two have been pretty good.

^I find Arakawa under the bridge to be quite good. I knew that it will be different (in a good way) from the rest! I'm hoping for some back story for the other characters in the next episodes

I just watched B Gata H Kei, Hmm I kept thinking of ways to describe it but the only thing that keeps popping in my mind is that the main heroine is like Kanako from Mariaholics but isn't a lesbian.

Angel beats seemed so random and confusing... if it improves, please inform me.

K-on!! seems like it's gonna be a 2nd season full of filler, although I liked the 1st season.

Maybe I should just stick to some old anime I haven't seem yet like "garden of sinners"

Yep Arakawa is good, thanks guys. Its not quite great (not yet), but its not far off.
    EDIT:
Also of note, Gundam Unicorn is very good. Quality action packed animation, and a little less angsty than normal. Unfortunately still just as morbid as ever. Just make sure to brush up on your CE general knowledge.

I just watched episodes 1-3 of Senkou no Night Raid. It's DAMNED good. Especially episode 2's character development. Episode 1 was all spy thriller action, and you get to see their powers, but episode 2 was brilliantly melancholy. And that sort of sets the tone for the whole series, I think. It's very subdued, subtle and melancholy, but there's a vein of action and comedy that runs through the whole thing. And episode 3 brings out the mystery and starts to develop the plot. Whoever's directing this has mastered the "show, don't tell" skill. Very reminiscent of... well, True Tears and Cross Game, actually. It has the same sort of quiet subtlety and hidden drama. And the usage of the musical score is perfect. I am so watching this. Much better than Angel Beats or any of the other shows out there this season.

Speaking of other shows, Angel Beats is starting to pall on me (maybe I'm growing too old for it), Arakawa is still funny, Working remains enjoyable, Hakouki is decently entertaining enough, and I've decided to follow Giant Killing's manga until the anime catches up.
