    Question Some Anime Suggestions Please?

    First of all, GREAT SITE. (Um... It's not my first time here, but it's my first post in this forum.)
    I must first express my appreciation for this entire site and everyone behind it for providing direct downloads, which we can rarely find. Thank you.

    Okay.
    These days I'm looking for any anime that meets the criteria below (in order of priority, highest to lowest):
    - Slice-of-life {eg. ARIA, Shinigami no Ballad, etc.}
    - Meaningful {eg. ARIA (again), Black Jack, etc.}
    - Fantasy / Magical {But not too violent; prefer more peaceful ones like Negima, Bottle Fairy, or even things like Doraemon }
    - Cute / Moe / Loli {eg. Ichigo Mashimaro, etc.}
    - Ecchi {eg. Moetan, Midori no Hibi, etc.}
    - Somewhat-philosophical {eg. Chobits, Bokurano, etc.}

    I guess that's all for the criteria. So, any recommendations? Thanks in advance.

    Oh, and besides all the direct downloads for all sorts of manga, I see there are also anime.
    But I have a question about direct download for anime: is there a page where it shows a full list of all the anime files available for download just like the A-to-Z pages for manga? Just want to know. Thank you.

    hi there and welcome to the forum^^

    i guess i'll write my recommendations in somewhat order too:

    Seriel Experiments Lain (scifi, philosophical and meaningful, you still need much caffeine)
    Serei no Moribito (Fantasy, Meaningful, and not too violent)
    Eve no Jikan (slice of live, philosophical, meaningful, scifi)
    Spice and Wolf (slice of life, cute, economy)
    Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (slice of life, cute, comedy)
    Clannad (cute, moe, fantasy, slice of life, drama)
    Utawarerumono (fantasy, magical, cute, slice of live, meaningful, but a bit violent)
    Baccano (every genre, really. but it is quite violent some times)

    i dont know if these are really what you want, but i guess they meet some of your criteria and most of them are more or less serious.

    if they aren't what you're looking for just tell me^^

    High on the slice-of-life and meaningful, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou was adapted (in small slices) as four half-hour OVAs.
    Today is always the most enjoyable day. Just ask Yotsuba.

    Do you just want one of those elements or all of them combined.

    If it all of them, my 1st thought arrives at Hayate no Gotoku, although it's not very meaningful lol.

    Or you could watch Saki uif you like Mahjong but it has no fantasy element.

    There's Sayaonara Zetsubou Sensei,.... hmmm... lol ah well....

    Thank all of you who've given some recommendations. I've briefly checked out all the titles mentioned by you all and... I'll reply below.

    Thanks.
    Serial Experiments Lain has its appeal in my eyes, so maybe I'll try it, though it reminds me of Chobits or something along that line, ...technology and stuff. But I'll leave this anime in my list until I've watched others which genres are of higher priorities.
    Seirei no Moribito doesn't go into my list this time. I feel like taking a break from adventure-type anime for a while.
    Eve no Jikan also reminds me of Chobits, even more than Lain does, but I'll also leave it until later.
    Spice and Wolf is... yeap, like you said, "economy". Trading, merchants, adventure, and then romance. But something in it doesn't strike my fancy, especially the setting of the story.
    Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is dark, very dark. Pessimism is all I can see in this anime, though there is also comedy in it. But I won't take this out of my list.
    I had considered Clannad before in my previous round of recommendation-seeking a year or two ago, but until today it has still only remained in my list, not because it's bad, but because there are others I find more interesting. Somehow Clannad reminds me of Midori no Hibi, at least one of the main characters (Tomoya) does.
    Utawarerumono... no way. I had watched a bit of it before quite some years back and I was quickly turned off by it. Something inside just didn't do.
    And yes, Baccano is a bit of everything. But it's exactly because of this that I'm not going to consider it. It doesn't create the kind of air that I feel like enjoying.

    I'm uh... sort of a person who, when watching anime, tends to pay extra attention to what "lessons" the anime can offer me, what I can learn from it. This explains why ARIA (where nothing really happens) appeals to me so much. If an anime doesn't offer me anything like that, at least I would like it to be meaningful in a sense like that in Black Jack, where we deal with life-and-death issues, principles of life, and of course, money, which are things we can easily identify with.
    So yeah... I'm looking for more anime in this sense.

    Thanks but I've already finished watching it before.

    This one looks like... not bad. And the fact that it's only OVAs makes it even more convenient for me to watch. Thanks. I'll look into it.

    Thank you. I'll browse through them (and save a copy of this picture into my com).

    Hayate no Gotoku is...... lol how do I say it... "screwed up". It's a parody of everything and it's goddamn funny. Or so I read. Despite the fact that this anime doesn't fit ANY of my criteria, I'll consider it when I need a good laugh.

    And I don't like Mahjong. Lol.
    I've commented on Sayaonara Zetsubou Sensei already, so yeah.

    I don't mind having all of those elements in my list of criteria to be in a single anime at the same time, but such an anime could easily go wrong (means turn me off) should anything (at all) goes wrong. So it's "dangerous", in a sense. Anime with a more selectedly focused genre would work better for me.

    I've included examples for each of the 6 types I'm looking for, right? So anime that are similar to those anime in my examples are likely to interest me.

    P.S.
    Is there a page here where we can see all the anime files available for download? Thanks in advance.

    If you like astronomy, you can try Sora no Manima ni (slice of life, romance, comedy, meaningful).
