Its a good tier.
Its about the destruction of tokyo. and this time no mechas were responsible for it, really.
they even made studies what effect an earthquake of a similar magnitude would have on tokyo just to make this animu.

Not sure if you guys are aware, but the reason this came up is that Tokyo is actually overdue for a giant earthquake. Based on a bunch of geological stuff I don't know much about, it should have apparently had one by now, and everyone's on edge, waiting for it.
I'm living in Tokyo now, and we've had like 6 or 7 minor earthquakes in the last couple of weeks. Each time everyone wonders if this one is gonna be it....

yea i heard about that. i also heard that on the day the 4th episode was released an earthquake of magnitude 6 happend in tokyo.
toyko will have a tough time in the future. the city is build on too much sand. well it's not like this is anyones fault, the time the city was build no one thought about skycrapers.
the realism in this story is also one of the reasons i'm pressing f5 the whole day on tokyotosho until the next episode is out^^
speaking of realism. were those robots based on real prototypes? i heard something about robots going to be used to find buried people but i didnt think they allready have them fully developed.

As Zhabin wrote, she gets less annoying and fast. They really laid on the teen angst thick in the first episode, but there's a lot I can relate to in how she feels about adults and her relationship with parents, friends (mostly through email!), and the world. Her verbal sparring with her parents was pretty good I think.
And you can obviously see where this is leading: She gonna git learn'd real good about how lucky she is, build up her courage and independence, and hopefully will have a tearful family reunion with sunshine, chirping birds, and uplifting violin music.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm enjoying the characters and the production quality. I'm also a sucker for disaster movies!
