Thread: Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann The Movie Guren-hen

I just watched the movie and I have to say...

WTF, the first 5 minutes was like the only thing that was new, the rest of the 2 hour movie was just the episode that were hand picked to be put in with a few supposed tweaks and additions. It's supposed to be a retelling of the series in bits but man I don't know if I want to bother with the next one if the changes are that minimal and so little new content.

Anyone else watch it? Thoughts?

Yeah, I tend to do that...

I expected more after going to Sakura-con (Seattle) and seeing so many chicks dressed up as Yoko, but I'm guessing it was just cause the character is hot and easy to cosplay as. It wasn't a bad series, I enjoyed it, just expected more, ya know.

Pic of one of the better ones, my camera sucks and my friend was drunk (well I am too...) so it's pretty blurry from him not holding still, I have no idea which camera I'm looking into since so many people were taking pictures of us...

I just finished the movie.
It's great. I mean, it was expected to be pretty much the same as the anime.

There was a grander setup for the episode 11 scene.
However, it just didn't have as much impact due to the length.
