I dunno, I almost think the story would benefit from being shaved down a bit. Sometimes I feel like OG!'s plots overinflate themselves with longwinded and complex explanations of what is at heart a fairly simple concept.

^Me too. Makes them pointlessly complicated and brings too many variables to play. Like the introduction of Om and the revelation of a living Aeon. After having a tripartite division between Kogarasumaru, Genesis, and SF, and later Sora's betrayal and Spitfire's dead, all these extra factors are just overkill.

Same thing with TT. They set up a nice rivalry between Mitsomi's faction and the Jyukenbu, but then convolute the story to hell with Mitsuomi's war and allies and Nagi's father's motives.

I always thought Sonic Riders was sort of similer to air gear due to the racing structure, wud be nice to have the actual characters from the Air Gear anime in game itself widout the sega characters involved xP

im just going to repost wat i had in the other thread cuz i think its still a great idea.

Yea mos def gonna turn out like JSRF but i wouldnt limit it to spiderman even though its a great game. I would want the "world" to be like GTA in a sence how its so open and the possibilities are pretty much endless. Also not that i didnt like how the graphics were done in the JSR game's but w/ the new PS3 and 360 out they could mos deff do something better.

It should have a 1 player story mode where the main goal is to be king and obtain the sky regalia. It should also have a kick ass creat-a-player. To make buying parts and clothing and all tht type of misc. shopping to be made fun or a challenge if you will. Have the shop on traxx availible only at night and at different locations. (idr the name of the shop but im pretty sure u know wat im talking bout. the 1 where ikki broke the neon signs....yea i digress)

To make your own emblem i would use something similar to the THPS sticker creator but w/ more shape minipulation though to make it more bad ass and ofcourse a bunch of diff fonts to make the name unique. (or u can upload a pic that u created) For online the only thing different would be the team thing where u can team up w/ ur buddies online (ofcourse) and create matching outfits but being able to make each outfit unique w/ the same color scheme if ya dnt wanna do the look-a-like thing. To make moves less repetitive there should be like a storm rider type that you can choose from varied by types like speed, power, technique ect ect ect. Kinda like Soul Caliber II's job selection.

To make it more fun they should have cops chasin ya down gunza blazin w/ a heat lvl type system like GTA where the most property damage u do depending on the sector ur in increases. This could also help on the lvl^ problem people keep talking bout but youd have to escape gaining exp pts. The possibility is mos def availible its just whos gonna actually make it? They should just know they would make loads of dinero. Well im done for now lol all in all AIR GEAR the Video Game Would Mos Def Rock!

i think that because this is a manga, there's no way a game could be good for it, but this series does have an insane amount of potential. I think that by having so much complication the series, it would make the game very open-ended.

The game would be a combination of free roaming, action, fighting, and RPG. Like what the other guy said, you could roam around and do class/team battles as side quests while moving forward in the story, kind of like Elder Scrolls Oblivion or GTA. The fact that it's a unique manga (rollerblades) makes it pretty cool. And I think character creation is good in any game, but especially this one, considering how many parts you could have, and the Regalias.

I think a character-creation and squad-forming online mode would be sweet. You'd make a character, join or create a squad, and advance through the ranks. You'd choose a server, and freeroam around either Tokyo or Kyoto. if you find a person from another squad, you can issue a challenge to them. When you win challenges, you move up in rank and get parts. You can also get small boosts in stats, like sped, air, fighting, etc. but not enough to unbalance the game for other players.

I plan to be a game designer when I grow up. I want to make all of my games have focus on freeroaming, customization, and physics. And I'm serious about becoming a designer. Maybe you'll see me pop up on 6 years or so.

There is the game "street gears" that somewhat resembles Air Gear in style.

If there be any serious fans that also happen to know how to program, 3d sculpt, &c (basically anything related to game dev), join my new, ambitious attempt to make an air gear game on sourceforge, just search "airgeargame-gnu". I'd also like seiyuus/va's and xlators to work on manga mode (altho voice WILL admittedly be added on at a later date, later in the production cycle, as I mainly want the game to be WORKING first, right?)

it could be on the wii, with the balance board as the air treks, using the wii remote for fighting like clash of ninja, you could have the nunchuck control stick for doing tricks, b for breaks a for jump

    Welcome to the club.

I'm usually not a fan of anime based games mainly because I know (as most of you do too) that they're usually crappy and rushed just to make a quick buck/euro/paso/yen/etc. But this series just seems like if they made it into a game it would work perfectly. I see it this way:

    1. It would be one of the few anime based games not based on fighting.

    2. Its got an impressive enough story and system that if carried into the game would keep it interesting when playing alone yet add in online and good customization and Its already looking great.

    3. with modern gaming I think its possible so I'm going to throw it out there. add the ability to travel anywhere in the city/cities and the ability to choose any path to the goal in a game of this type would be impressive. also make it realistic. where as most sports games similar rearrange settings to make them more useful leave it as an actual place would look.

I'm sorry. I'm sure this has come up, I'm just amazed there hasn't been one yet.
    It's Tony Hawk's fault.
