OG; i give credit for his details, but i'm one of those people who sees the lack of a certain quality being beautiful...

I have read Dogs since before it was serialized and although it has a nice style it has no scope or artistic range, he is a one hit wonder with that style, hence why there are little to no spreads or scene pages, anything that offeres him a change to just show us what he has, he only draws characters and almost always over plain white panels, with thick outlined gun fire burst covering everything.

Blame! has a lot of style but really it ends there. This guy cannot truly hit the pages and draw imo, people get caught up in this sketch art style thinking it is unique (its not, at all) and beautiful (matter of opinion) when really if you look at every artists sketch book you see stuff like that, honestly people get caught up in the unique, I just see ugly, lack of effort.

No page in Blame! has ever made me stop and say "How did he do that?!", ever, same with Dogs.


Deathnote is great so is Bluedragon and Claymore (progression is crazy as well, from Angel D to Clay); Berserk and Blade of the Immortal for sketchy art are great, at least these look like they took a lot of effort.

Still like I said none can match OG's mechanical/Architectural prowess and sense of action.

I like them both.
The styles are different, but both are soooooooooo good~
The art of TT's beginning part is bad, though.but without this immature drawings we can't see OG's great art now.^_~

I think that OG's poses in Air Gear are better because the characters are allowed to make all of those sweet moves in the air, but TT has the best overall and more detailed artwork, and I have to agree with event, his mechanical artwork is second to none.

when i stated thos mangaka, i meant in my opinion. beauty is in the eye of the beholder as they say. and i forgot to mention Takeshi Obata.

TT is my favorite Manga, yeah and I think I like the art more, but yeah Air Gear isn't bad anyway. Air gear is great. I love it, it's my second favorite manga. OH! Great's art is great... I think, both have pros.

I cant decide actually - in my view theyre both just about the same in terms of artwork. Dunno which storyline is better though since Ive only read the raw version of TT(that my sister would buy from a local store - all chinese T-T) and never bothered to download scanlated versions.

personally ive seen the manga art and the anime art for both tt and ag and man it is hard to say because anime brings out alot out of an artist and tt has better fighting scenes but ag is better all round and the the girls in ag beat the girls in tt yet the details on ag arent as good as tt. so in conclusion i cant choose =P

in TT the art isn't that good on the beginning and i like much more the "eyes" of air gear, so my vote to it.

Im leaning toward airgear on this one since the art gets to have crazy designs and detail when it comes to parts with regalia and stuff XD plus i think it was much better in the beginning XD
