Aeon Clock's Ability
We all know how Oh! Great did some heavy researches before creating those powers/abilities a character has (though he overexaggerated it).
What's the scientific explanation on Aeon Clock's time stopping ability?
yah... Oh! Great did some exaggeration on it too :]
AeonClock ues the Flame Road, which creates illusion. The illusion he creates will make the opponent feels as if he's moving fast but he's actually just moving normally.
I think xD
It's true that he's moving slowly but... using the flame road? I didn't know that... I thought Kazu uses the flame road. I thought it was something else...
^meokanako said "i think". im not too sure myself, and i havent read the raws so...plus i dont think you can think scientifically for this manga, cause well, it really doesnt apply in real life. =/
btw, if it was said in the raws and you feel like posting it in here, please use the spoiler format, just a heads up.
I don't think that it will ever really be explained. It goes with the whole creating fire out of air thing. It just happens without a logical explanation.
ermm.. i really didnt know how to put it in spoiler brackets sorry. I used that php thing since it seems to be my best alternative.. but IMO, none of the stuff that i've said is a spoiler for the next chapters to come. they are all information provided previously long ago [to be precise, from behemoth fight and before]. Im pretty sure of this info but if you feel that it is wrong, i will go look it over again =D
The reason behind the flames of the flame road is that the ATs accelerate at a high speed and the friction force against the ground will cause "flames" to appear.
Aeon clock's time stopping ability was explained generally during the behemoth fight (him vs kazu) but it is basically something like.. his moves kind of cause a part of the brain to overload and shut down temporarily [maybe like 10 seconds?], but though the person can still move, 1 second feels more like 10 seconds etc, [actually i think its more like 1 second feels like 1 minute to them]. something based like that, it actually deceives the other riders, however his road was originally the flame road, but eventually became its own when he left Spitfire's team once spitfire got the regalia.
it's more he moves so fast that the brain can't process it and it shuts everything down except for sight to process all frames so it feels like time has actually stopped but in reality you are perceiving to stop. he also uses other physics to do other tricks as well, not just time.
Spitfire explained this in the anime. When Aeon is versing Kaku or Kazu w/e his name is. Watch anime or read raw chaps.
He also says it in the early chapters. Like 50 something
Thanks for that :]
Err... Well, when he was fighting with Gabishi/Kilik (ch.114-116) He did'nt move "that" fast (mostly, he was just plain standing) when he uses his Time Power.
When Kogarasumaru battles Genesis, Spitfire offers an explanation for part of it:
Since Aeon formerly followed the Flame Road he has command of some of his techniques. For the first trick, where he hid from Kazu, he used the heat in the air to distort the light so it reflected and made it look like he had disappeared. The punch that defeated Kazu, as already mentioned used some function of the brain that registered movement but didn't have time to react to it to make it seem like time had stopped.
