Thread: You know, Air Gear would make a pretty sweet video game

I picture it being kinda like Spiderman, where you'd have free roaming of a town where you could hit different spots, visit places, and do challenges for emblems and whatnot. And of course, there'd be fighting. And if it decided to be ambitious, it could include a build-a-team mode where you could recruit members by defeating them and then conquer the Trophaeum.

Actually I think it would be more like Jetset radio.

As long as it wasn't like the other typical skating games. I can never get the hang of those...

it'd be like the tony hawk pro skater games with a little mix of need for speed (racing and running from cops).

I never played it either.
In it you skated around a city doing tricks off of the scenery ad tagging certain spots with spray paint.

Well, I think the Jet Grind Radio type stuff would be earlier in the game; you'd need to learn basic tricks to win stuff like Dashes and Hurdles (A certain button combo would activate something like a Trick Pass, for example). Then as you'd get to stuff like Cube, you'd need to fight. But the reason I'd want it to be like Spiderman is that you could just AT around the city. You could build your stats by doing awesome tricks, find some cool secret spots to trick off of, and challenge random filler teams to battles as well. That would make it more evenly distributed between skating and fighting.

But yeah, given that the manga focuses almost exclusively on fighting now, that would probably be a bigger role.

I've thought about this too and I'm with Abaile, modelled off something like Jetset Radio. Which is a good thing, since its awesome.

AS long as they would made AG game i would be happy.

Airgear is a great manga but I cant see it as a game... not unless its like say... Aggressive Inline... and even then I dont think itd be good. Sorry but most manga/anime do not translate well to gaming.
