Thread: ADV Announces Air Gear

At Oni-Con today, ADV Films announced that they have acquired rights to the Air Gear TV series. They will be releasing the Japanese home video version, as opposed to the broadcast version that featured some partially censored scenes. Source: Anime on DVD

Thats great news.
I really liked the Air Gear anime.
Its pretty much just like the manga except for the ending.
I'll definitely be buying this.

Uh Oh I see ADV going backrupt ! kidding, I'll consider buying the first DVD when its dub is released.

Well the censoring did get rather annoying after the initial amusement of seeing the crow protecting private parts passed. I was wondering if they'd actually made an uncensored version.

Is there gonna be an Air Gear movie? or 2nd season?

i'm leaning towards the manga more than the anime

The dub for Air Gear has a lot of people that did the dub for gensomaden saiyuki.

the ending of the anime didnt seem like an ending at all. they must have an ova or 2nd season if they want to put in a decent ending.

if there is a second season i hope it will be way better than the first.

isn't that unfortunatly the way with alot of anime, that after having read the original manga the series never lives up to expectations.....

personally I'm a big fan of the manga but not the anime.
didn't really like the style too much - found it lacking somehow :S

Also for the dubbing to Full Metal Panic. Some of these roles just don't seem to fit right for me though.
