Thread: First Try ~.~

I think this is my first post here even though i've been registered for ages....

I don't know if this really belongs here but I thought you guys could give me some critcism.. It's not done fully done I have to redo some lines and stuff ~.~ but I was hoping you could you know say some stuff this is my first try at this kinda thing btw.

Uhm, you're applying as a cleaner?

Let's see... your edit isn't too bad, though it's a bit dark and hard to see. There are some scuffy bits you missed throughout, especially in the bottom-right panel.

Editor really ~.~ I was gonna do it awhile ago but some stuff came up so ~.~ .. I just now got around to reading the tutorial from the guy and did this like during class. I still need to finish reading the tutorial :'/, the levels i'm trying to get the hang of it so i'm kinda sorry about the dark areas o.o. I think the tutorial goes into scruffy bits.

Yeah, basically what Erachima said. The image is overlevelled in the upper part especially. Often you cannot remove dirt by just levelling, in those cases you should hit M and start to select/hit del/repeat... It's an annoying procedure, I know. As for the line-thickening you did by using the Unsharp Mask (I'm guessing), maybe you should try leaving that out at all. To me, the page looks a little cleaner, but it looses a lot of its original sharpness and fine print.

Edit:
You can leave in the box at some times, at other times you are required to remove it. You should talk about that with the group you are editing for (once you are accepted to a group.)

Another piece of advice on cleaning up scrudgy bits, though this applies to colour files more: If you're really having a hard time with them, because of the image's resolution or what have you, it can sometimes help to invert the image.

This is especially useful when there's some really pale colour like, say, light yellow on white and you're straining your eyes to see it. When inverted, it become bright blue on black, which is much easier to see. In black and white, it would just become a lighter grey on black, but that is easier to see as well.

Used a differnt method to level it this time.
Tried to clean it a bit more. // Forgot 2 dots in lower right did in like 1 min.
I messed up the house imo...
Touched up the nose and the one wheel ~.~

I can do sigs fine but I just signed up to be a editor but he said he needed cleaners so I said I would try. I just now tried to do it today, I guess i've been doing Photoshop for a little less then a year? On and off mostly though.

one more question, how long u take to edit ur "first try" images?
