Default Del Rey's cover of AG Vol 3

Here's Del Rey's version of the cover for volume 3:

    Here's the original Kodansha cover:

I hope that Del Rey doesnt keep that cover.
I definitely like the coloring of the original better.
But it is just the cover so if the keep it I guess I'll be able to live with it.

Hm, actually the covers are about the same, there's only a difference in the intensity of colours. From what I can tell the bottom one is simply far overlevelled while the top one is the exact opposite. And as far as the colour of the banner is concerned, I think they changed it to light green as it goes better with Ringo's clothing - Just an assumption.

Thats actually what I was referring to.
The intensity of the colors in Del Rey's version looks a lil weird compared to the original.
Its not REALLY bad so I guess I can live with it...

Nah, you got that wrong. The intensity is bound to the levels, and those are messed up in those cover scans. I doubt the original j-cover looks as intensive as the scanned version.

they're not. I've got them up to vol. 14. The Del Ray cover looks dead on the japanese one. It just looks like the tones are less visible, and blended way better but the colors are less leveled then the bottom one.

Wow. You're a moron. When you learn something about RGB and CMYK colors and also printing, then come back to this one. Otherwise, if all you're going to complain about is because her little elbow pads are a bright green instead of a dark green, then please stop reading any and all manga at once. You are only deluding yourself, you pathetic little soul you. =(

I thought you were complaining about the name covering too much of her crotch.

Anyway, there's nothing wrong with it, it's just that the first one isn't a scan. The original may very well look nearly the same in its unscanned form.

I do trust your comment was directed at me. I, in an attempt not to alienate the gentle person, had tried to use plan english, and not printing terms that he may not be familiar with.

Apologies for not being clear. It was most definitely directed at the original poster.

edit: Also, the second one looks most like a scan. The first was probably taken directly from whichever program Del Rey used to make it (Quark or inDesign or whathaveyou).

I didn't even notice she was wearing elbow pads until Cave's post.

    I always miss the details.
