I like both Ten Ten & Air Gear.
With how far Air Gear has gone (15+ volumes) it seems like Oh! Great may get started on something else soon.
I wonder what its gonna be.

My top 5 comic artists (in no particular order):
Michael Turner (Witchbade, Superman/Batman, Soulfire)
Oh! Great (Silky Whip, Tenjho Tenge, Air Gear)
Jim Lee (X-Men, Batman, Superman, Divine Right, Wild CATs)
Tsutomu Nihei (BLAME!, Biomega, Wolverine: SNIKT!, Abara, Digimortal)
Alex Ross (Kingdom Come, Marvels, Justice)
Probably something involving lots of naked women and unrealistic violence. I guarantee this.
Something good. Who knows meaby he will stop doing manga only the God and the author himself knows...
I cant say for sure that he's actually working on either of those any more.
I think its all being done by his assistants.
You can obviously tell that the art styles are drastically different from when series started.

Maybe because the autor have change his style?
Like in every manga, if you look at the first volume and the latests ones, you'll see a difference. and not only because of the assistants.
EEvolution, evolution
Yeah, imo the most noticable of changes in manga is in Ah~ My Goddess.
I dont really think ANY artist can really change his style as much as some of these manga artists supposedly do.Originally Posted by Jahnin
They might but I highly doubt it.
I have Marvel, DC and other major company books that were done by some artists 10+ years ago and books they've done recently and they arent as drastically different as some of these manga artists work is over the span of a few years.

i don't want him to change his style, I like the complexity of his work. As for starting another manga, i'd like him to wait until he is done with Air gear and Tenten because starting AirGear got Tenten to be released monthly what would a third one do??
After that, i'd go with the genre I mentionned before.
Yeah but marvel and manga are not the same. On marvel they are many artist for a limited number of characters. I mean there is tons of people that have written and drawn countless stories about spiderman for example. So there is some thigs they have to respect. And I believe the general design is one of these "codes"" that they have to respect. It's like a franchise. You have the right to do your stuff under certain conditions.Originally Posted by jboncha
a manga artist do his own stuff, and of course the style change. They discover new technique or they simply have new point of view on their characters and they change style over the years.
But for air gear i don't see that much differences.. Oh great style is still mostly the same, no?
Look at naruto or one piece vol 1 and this week's chapters. The difference is clear. A lot more than in air gear
