Pace of the anime
now i know next to no one watches the anime but i do for the sheer reason that its something to watch in my spare time since naruto and bleach are at a suck point right now....so it takes my time....
but seriously its only on episode 16 (raw and ep 14 subbed) and its already to the fight with behemoth....im sorry but to me that seems really quick dont you guys think?...
-
not really. because an episode of anime is like equivalent to 3 or 4 chapter of manga
-
Three or four chapters, maybe, yes, but certainly not four books (see: episode one). The anime sucks in all aspects. (Okay, all but music.)
-
the pace is kinda fast, but atleast the animation seems to be improving a little bit, hopefully the battle will be sweet and i'm sure they can drag out this fight for like 4 to 5 eps

I now watch the anime just out of sheer bordom, but I do notice it does seem to run quicker than the manga.
When the episodes end, it ends abruptly. Most producers would tend to lengthen the time of the episodes by creating a few extra scenes that wouldn't effect the storyline (or achieve the effect of improving it) For example: adding more frames of character reaction to emphasize the scene.
Air Gear the anime doesn't exactly do that. Instead they cut off the juicy parts, but keep enough of it for the storyline, yet continue to add their ideas hoping to let the audience understand the show better (ie: the introduction scene in episode 1 -_-;; ).
I agree that understanding things are an important aspect (who would keep watching something they don't get? o_o;; ), but the negative point of it is that it annoys the people who enjoy the manga more. I knew of Air Gear because I watched the anime first (for about 6 episodes) before finding out about & reading the manga.
I was even more confused trying to understand the anime during that time due to all their efforts, but nonetheless I did enjoy it because I didn't compare it with the manga (since I thought that was how the storyline was supposed to be 8 D;; ).
Still... thanks to the anime, I wouldn't have ended up reading the manga. XD;;

I'm a bias person cause I have yet to read the manga. I've only seen the anime so far.
I have to admit I enjoy watching the anime. The fast pace of the show is what hooked me in the first place. I mean I've been watching Bleach and Naruto--and their fight scenes take forever (not that I usually mind...but when I'm screaming for it to end already...) So this is a breath of fresh air.
Now I'm curious to read the manga simply to see if Agito swears just as much if not more than in the anime.
The music is awesome and I'm waiting for a release of the ost.

The anime is alright, its something to watch. I agree, maybe it is a little fast maybe cuz the manga is slow.

Anime is good atleast for me. Anyway i wonder about how many eps will anime have. When i checked air gear anime info on anidb it says 0 eps while other animes which are airing atm have how many eps will be made like 12 24 or so. At the same time naruto bleach and other animes which keeps going out have also 0 eps. So i wonder if air gear will be also a 24/26 eps season or it will be like 30/40 + eps or more.
Anyway the + for anime is that its a little diferent from manga but at the same time its it -. But anyway its made for japanese so we cant complain and just watch what will they do in the future. Anyway 18 eps are subbed atm and its getting good it seems that behemoth fight will end in 19 or at the beginning of 20 and i wonder what next. At first i though that the anime (if it would be 24 eps season) would end after behemoth fight but now i think about
Spoiler **
It could end at the moment when simca whit genesis comes to Ikki.
Spoiler **
Of course if it will be 24 eps.

The anime drives me insane. It loses a lot of the depth of the story, and the art sucks. Air Gear is totally art focused in the manga, you can't make everyone hideous and claim the story will somehow carry the series through.
Also, the colouration they chose, while it is pretty fitting with the series tone, burns my eyes.

I'm starting to realize how bad the anime is, but I'm hoping it'll get better. They'll probably get better at it as time goes on, like every animated series.
