I'm refering to the extension~ .rar. Personal preference. :P
The quality of the images doesn't get altered by archiving, be it rar, zip, tar, zip7 or whatever.

I've got CDisplay, so I don't even have to open the archive files. I win.

I didn't think the format would have any effect on the image quality, hence my confusion.
Personally, I use both zip and rar files. I use .rar for long-term storage and very large files, since it handles them more smoothly and allows easy use of passwords. I use zip for stuff where I expect to be decompressing it in the not-so-distant future, as I can get into it just using windows.
