IF it didn't matter what other people thought we wouldn't all be wearing stiff suits and trying to create an army of lawyers and doctors

like how tj said its a good light hearted manga

after reading berserk for so long its good to read a chapter or 2 of airgear, to lightn the mind

if you only read dark deep mangas, your mind will get really heavy, lits good to kick back and jus watch/read some senseless fun no matter how stupid some of the things are

if you let manga affect your mood significantly outside of a little sadness or some happiness or whatever, then maybe it is time to stop reading so much manga.

well that's because , ppl want easy manga , they don't want to exercise their brain cells to read a lot , just some pictures punches and it's all cool , while in ten ten even after reading all the volumes released up to date 2 times , there are still things which ppl don't understand , besides , in AG there's way more action in terms of page count , than in TT

What. I thought Air Gear was a comedy with some action thrown in. That's whay I read it. I could give a danm about typical shonen characters. Eventually everything gets copied anyways so nothing ever really stays original anymore.

I just think it might be the fanservice that brings it down, but it usually depends on the reader. I agree that fanservice shouldn't be used as a selling point for the manga, but I enjoy it because it makes me laugh and rather- I could care less about that kind of thing. But visual is usually a big thing for me so good art's important. There are exceptions though; such as character development and plot. I think OhGreat did a good job on character. You can tell he never really intended to use some of the characters as main ones (ie. Kazu and Onigiri) but so far, every character used is quite lovable.
The plot is... different. By having something become a very serious situation, OhGreat can even just use one panel for comic relief (which is why it's so random at times -but in turn- might be the reason why there is also a dislike for AG).

wow...people dont read manga so they can exercise their brains. if you want to do that go to a bookstore and pick up David Copperfield. AG was good. I mean it was fun read. Not as developed and dark and well-done as titles like Beserk or Vagabond, but it was fun.

I'm pretty sure he ment it as AG is more like looking at the pictures and going "ooo ahhh" while Berserk you read whats going on as the story goes on. You don't have to flame him about it like that.
