Considering he is being taught by the former King of Air Road (I don't think "Sky is accurate so i will refer to it as "Air") in the hopistal and seeing as his Tool Toul To partener thinks he is the King of Air... :/

agito = blood king
akito = faggot king
buccha = power king
and ikki is ofcourse the sky king

if he wouldn't become the sky king then there would be no need for the anime / manga

I say Ikki'll be an un-official Sky King. He'll say something like "screw the king-like thing and go get some fun instead". Tho he won't be recognized as "the" king, he'll be one to those who'll know him.
