Seishi-sensei does it again!

Okay i loved 666, i was reading over it over the course of a year or so and i completely fell in love. So when i heard that he was making another manga, i immediately began to jump for joy. For good reason, because blazer drive is just as kick ass. My favorite type of manga is the supernatural shonen stuff so this is right up my alley, and as far as the mysticker goes, i think were going to see a lot of similarities between the usage of them and the o-parts. But then again i guess it only makes sense that both of the mangakas mangas would have similar concepts and influences. So live for the battle, and blaze on!

^Hahaha. Seems like you're in the minority in this diagnosis, if you go by the comments we made in the new manga thread within this subforum.

There's a difference between having 'similar' mangas and mangas that are pretty much the same one dressed up in different clothes. We basically saw the re-debut of Jio and that one sister girl from 666, and the entire concept behind mystickers are the same as O-Parts, with different labeling.

We have the typical lonely angsty child discovering he isn't alone in the first chapter, and the start of some kind of epic journey afterwards.

Unless im mistaken you saying that something is pretty much the same and me saying that something is similar are the exact same comments just worded differently. As far as mystickers being the same thing as oparts thats not MY truth either, theyre are definite similarities between oparts and mystickers, but they are NOT the same thing, no matter how similar they are to oparts. Once again this is just my opinion, i also feel its a little presumptous to assume that you know the entirety of the underlying plot after reading the first chapter, is it not? Im not saying that it isnt greatly the same but dont you pigeonhole all future experience and thought process's that could possibly occur by coming up with such an abrupt conclusion to a manga that could run for hundreds of chapters after reading just one? As far as the subforum goes i didnt post there for a reason, i didnt want to read people flaming or coming to conclusions about something they know little to nothing about. What do we know about daichi's past, his future, where he's going or where he's been? Other than knowing that his parents died and his newfound ambition the truth of the matter is we dont know anything about him and whatever you we think we do is nothing but speculation. Its like reading jack london's white fang and thinking you already know what call of the wild is going to be about. You just might but its still its own story within itself, same thing with 666 and blazer drive, they are their own stories no matter how similar they may be. But in all honesty isnt that what you expect when you read another manga by the same mangaka? That would be like reading the manga masashi-sensei does after naruto and being dissapointed that they share similar underlying themes, or reading the story eichiro sensei will do after one piece and not liking the fact that the same character is a little like luffy. Thats why you read associated works, hoping that those qualities you enjoyed in the previous are transferred into the latter, thats common sense. In all honesty knowing the attributes that your going to be getting and the previous concepts just excite me. Knowing that im going to see really kick ass battle tactics as well as the power of nature is something i look forward to.
And no disrepect intended but the fact that you dont even know what the name of "the one sister girl"(im assuming you mean either mai or ruby) tells me alot about the way you read manga in general. If you dont know the name of one of the MAIN characters of a story thats been published for years that gives me a little insight as to how you view things.

But i dont want to argue, all im saying is that im reading blazer drive because i like the supernatural shonen style of seishi-sensei, and if your reading blazer drive then you should expect the same underlying concepts and themes that were present in his previous work should you not? And if you dont then why would you read blazer drive in the first place?

I hope he makes a ninja manga. With like two boys who are best friendz but have to fight against each other. Oh, and there should be a girl who loves one of the boys but he doesn't like her, but the other boy likes her what makes everything a bit complicated. Of course, there has to be some weird sensei and a really sophisticated political story plot so it doesn't get boring.

I wish some manga like that would exist already
