Just came out today. So, the legacy is over.
Made me cry T_T
somehow, I wanted to see a slightly older Jio living happily with Ruby, having half'a'dozen of kids... aww... *sob*
The end seems kind of okay, but still it's so sad... i mean satan 666 over, and whatever happened to Jio is a mystery... warped... another planet... jeeeez... feels like he is a dead hero T_T
I'm waiting for more manga from Seishi, he rocks <3
I think he and the others are now forming life on another planet.
After reading this chapter, I have to admit I am a little disappointed in the ending. Especially in the meaningless cliche way Jio defeated Satan. And the scientist bit was just something they could have avoided altogether.
And then the presenting the entire tale as a retelling of a night-time story is just disgustingly cliche again. The ending was conclusive, but just barely tolerable.
I really hope there is some omake to draw a little closure to what happened to the kaballah members though.
I liked it to be frank, the manga never stated that the angels and demons where originally from both Heaven and Hell. It always threw some tidbit about earth and 666satan was always pseudo High tech steam punkish so i thought it fitted well. And the scientist bit was just something they could have avoided altogether.
But that´s not used in the manga industry alot, i´m not saying that makes it original but compared to the movie industry it´s not that bad. Even if to see that Ball and the chick married and had kids. And then the presenting the entire tale as a retelling of a night-time story is just disgustingly cliche again. The ending was conclusive, but just barely tolerable.
And the fact that the author killed both the main character and important secundary characters in the ending puts it above alot of shonens.
Still, wanted to see more character development from the secundary cast as they had LOAD of potential (Probably weakest aspect of the manga) the Angel/demon "folkore" and fightings (The greatest IMO).
I think it's hard to put as much character development as anyone wanted in a manga this short because it was always too action-packed to show us much development (especially after the timeskip). Adding in the character dev scenes would have meant a longer manga, and I think at this point it is clear that Seishi has been desperate to end this for a while (I mean, look at the last 2 chaps!).
i like the ending somehow.
well, i'm "sad" that jio & ruby ( and stuff ) are not shown after being "teleported", but yeah. they may be dead.
i like ball's ( if i wouldn't be me i'd sig this as a rip out of context and erase the apostrophe ) statement.. "somehow he conquered the world".. but well. jio was a kid at the beginning, "yay wanna conquer teh world !11".. in the end he said it again.. so whatever.
i liked 666satan. instead of naruto there don't seem to be so many cheap ass chapters.
When I saw the thread title I figured this was "End" as in, the beginning of the end- you know, the REAL final battle. Jio's way of conquering Satan and (according to Ball) the world, were most cliche things ever. It wouldn't have been so bad, but there was so much info to cover in the span of the single chapter that we didn't get proper goodbyes and emotional words of support from characters. The explanation of Satan would've worked better if it had been spanned out over its own chapter too. Overall, this just didn't feel like it should've ended here. Was Seishi Kishimoto just tired of this series?
Honestly, I thought the series will never end very soon. I feel like crying after reading the final pages. I was hoping for Seishi to create a sequel to 666 Satan, like how Akira Toriyama created Dragon Ball Z after the original one, but after reading the chapter, a sequel will never happen.
A sequel would suck. Dragonball had a bunch of room to expand but this conclusion (fortunately) does not allow for it.
