In Naruto, Naruto does not angst ONCE in the series.
In 666satan, Jio angst a FEW times, then he meets that couple he dubs his parents and they're on their diddly way.
Have a demon-type entity inside you is NOT happly-plum diddly.

While I understand that having a demon trapped inside you wouldn't be fun, why should they be angsty about it all the time. Is there no upside to having something that powerful in you? Also, I am not sure that Jio understands that he is in fact Satan incarnate. But back on point, what fun would it be to read Naruto or 666 Satan if they were about some depressed anti-social little whelps? I watch MTV if I want to listen to depressed emotional tripe.
well hes not satan incarnate he just has satan inside him for some reason they havnt explained yet at least in the scanlations.
Okay, I'm not the angst fan myself, so maybe my opinion isn't objective, but I kinda agree with Ryuk: how stupid would it look when Naruto or Jio would just get depressed over 'I carry a demon inside me'? In my opinion it's better as it is now, coz they both do what they can to prove that carrying a demon doesn't make you one... and besides, it's like Ruby once said: "Crying and running away never changed anything".
And most importantly: at first both shown that they weren't too happy with it, but they both found people how accepted them in the end and that surely made them enjoy life at least a little bit more.
I never said depressed all the time... All I said was that they get depressed ONCE in a while. Because it sort of scares me that he's never serious unless in battle, or talking about his dream...
Maybe not once in a while... Just a little depressed sigh would do it for me. Becuase I find it strange that you're very sad in your childhood, you become happy, but then you're NEVER sad/depressed. Even a little? It's strange. But I've been pretty content with the recent chapters...
Uh, what. I'm no expert on Naruto, but I did read it once upon a time, and Naruto is ALWAYS angsting. Angsting about being alone, about losing a fight, about being inferior to Sasuke, etc....
Naruto is probably one of the angstiest series I've ever read.
