There are several ways this can make perfect sense. To run through a few:

1) Sakata reexamined his thoughts on revival after reviving Cherry, and came to the conclusion that the revival was meaningless. People do sometimes change their minds on things, you know.

2) Sakata's lying about how he feels. The truth is that he doesn't want to be brought back if he dies (there are many possible reasons for this, chief among them being his degenerating condition), but for some reason he's camouflaging this by making a general statement against revival.

3) Sakata's lying about how he feels, but for some reason other than his own personal revival—possibly because he wants people to focus on getting out of Gantz instead of trying to revive people, or something. This would be hypocritical, but not unlikely—some types of people will make sacrifices that they think are unreasonable for others to make.
