It is possible for anybody to die in the Gantz room. Your comment about Nishi contradicts itself too. The reason Nishi did not die is because of the suit. without it he would have been dead.

Why would the female vampire, dubbed Chigusa, have any brain damage? As I explained, their was no harm inflicted when the psychics attacked.

Its a given that somebody would speak to you before you died. The old lady means nothing, unlike in the Anime. Personally I think it is a forgotten plot device.
